upnorth
I would like to have seen it from a different angle to see better how much distance there really was between them. It also looks like there were some pretty good crosswinds hitting the 767 on its approach as well.
Graham T
Undoubtedly a dangerous and alarming situation but don't forget the effects of a telephoto lens on closing the apparent separation of objects! I doubt they are as close to disaster as they appear.
Vally G
When I saw the thread's title I thought I was going to read about what you could see near an airport named after Miss Barcelona!
bentwaters81tfw
I saw this yesterday. Based on the footage there was 30 seconds separation.
Stu_davros
From the video it looked like the separation was approx the length of the runaway (3.3km I think), too close, but not as close as the video makes it look.
Airgunner
Apparently one of the 'experts' yesterday said that taxi way was 1500 metres down the runway, and that 767 had already crossed the threshold so they were pretty damn close. I bet the Russian captain required a change of trousers.
