I've been itching to build these since I bought them 18 months ago :) The box contains two beautifully moulded kits, offering several build options and decals for six aircraft.

For a tiny kit it packs a lot of detail...

Like the perfectly formed main gear doors! :o

And choice of normal or Malcolm hood.

The two aircraft I'm doing are... Rosey T.

And Chuck Yeager's Glamourus Glen. I used one of the Sweet decal options for a Revell Micro Wings Mustang I built last year so I could use the Revell decals for this build.

welcome aboard with a couple of amazing wee Mustangs!!

For the scale the detail is fantastic, I haven't heard of this manufacturer before but they certainly look nice!

And Chuck Yeager's Glamerous Glen. I used one of the Sweet decal options for a Revell Micro Wings Mustang I built last year so I could use the Revell decals for this build.

Is that the one he was shot down in?

They both look sweet (if you pardon the bad pun!!)..

If your submitting one of these kits to this GB, then I think your completion time should at least be halved - OK full time alloted if you complete both?

Only kidding - looking forward to this WIP.

I'm also part of this GB, so will get my kit (and digit) out shortly.

Cheers .. Dave.

Well, I've made a start on them today and there's almost as many parts in one of these as the Airfix P-51D I'm doing for the Korea group! As for how long it takes to complete them... Start counting :P

I tried out Revell's Fern Green acrylic (36360) for the first time and weathered it with Citadel Agrax Earthshade and Nuln Oil shades. I've still got some dry brushing in the main wells to do yet.

Nice Job Speedman, I'm a little ahead of you as in I have just put my first coat of paint on. Must post pictures up...

Be warned about the canopy for "Glamourus Glen". It will not sit right with the chair inside the canopy. I had to cut/sand the chair down, even then it is still a very tight fit. I'm not too sure how the malcolm hood will fit like, but I wouldn't hold your breath. If you need a spare Malcolm hood, give me a shout, I have 4 of them :P

Looking forward to more :)

Kind Regards,

Dazz

Cheers for the heads up! :thumbsup2: I decided to thin the canopies from inside to ensure a good fit, slowly but surely with a lot of 2000 grit wet and dry then polished with Autosol.

Comparison between sanded and standard.

Malcolm hood sanded and test fitted.

Thanks :) It took about 3 hours to sand both and then 20 minutes to polish them but it's was worth the time. I was a bit worried about crushing them between my fingers while polishing as they are very fragile now.

Progress! Canopy masks were made and applied, then after a coat of primer some pre-shading followed by a few light coats of grey for the undersides.

My, those wheel wells are bright!

They hadn't had a filter or wash at that point, they toned down after they were applied. :)

Saturday got me to this point...

Almost there!
