johnny akes
Hi Folks Every collection should have one, and I thought I'd share my attempt with you. Having read the various threads on here re fuselage colours and shades I hope I can get away with my mix which used a bit of chromate yellow to match Hendon's example: Regards J A

As for the colours, only the F-4J(UK) had the odd colours. All other RAF Phantoms (FG.1 and FGR.2) had the standard BS colours. Most of the F-4J(UK)s received the proper BS colours before being written off. Jens

Viking
Every collection should have one, Amen to that! A beautiful 74 Sqn example, the finish is perfect and if you had some background behind it, it could pass as photos of a real one. Cheers John

bunnylurve
Stunning Phantom. Can't fault anything about it! Are those after market decals? I've got the FG.1 kit but my decals are all creamy yellow and the lo vis colours are wrong too!
Val
There are very few things on this planet more beautiful than an RAF Phantom, a fantastic model, great work
johnny akes
Thanks everyone for the kind comments, much appreciated. Very nice model. As for the colours, only the F-4J(UK) had the odd colours. All other RAF Phantoms (FG.1 and FGR.2) had the standard BS colours. Most of the F-4J(UK)s received the proper BS colours before being written off.Jens Thanks for the clarification Jens, guess I didn't read the threads closely enough. I'll just have to call it an F-4J(UK), no-one who sees it in the flesh will know the difference! Stunning Phantom. Can't fault anything about it! Are those after market decals? I've got the FG.1 kit but my decals are all creamy yellow and the lo vis colours are wrong too! No mate, the decals came with the kit. Hasegawa's whites generally tend to look yellow to me as well but these look ok on the grey background, same with the insignia.
