It probably doesn't stack up against modern versions with slide moulding and PE as standard, but I thought it build into a very adequate replica. Based on your work, I'd say it's better than that. As for not weathering, I think there's a good case for keeping stuff "fresh" looking. Being brutally honest, a lot of late war German equipment went from factory-finish (with perhaps a slight patina of dust) to totally obliterated by allied air power, without being in the field long enough to get very weathered at all...
