Sergey Dulenko
To create the model in the 72-m scale is not enough information on the cockpit and landing gear niches. And also need a photo in front of the inlet channel. What we'll see? Maybe someone has useful information? I would be very grateful.
Miggers
Wish you'd have asked on Saturday. I was at RAF Cosford for the airshow yesterday and they have this in the Museum: http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?regsearch=WG777

Sergey Dulenko
Photos Delta are still relevant. Particularly interesting nozzle. Soon be able to show the master model.
Cheshiretaurus
If you ever make a conversion from FD2 to a BAC221, then as far as the undercarriage is concerned the nose gear came from a Gannet and the main gear from a lightning. There will be many other changes to the airframe to make too. Edited July 26, 2014 by Cheshiretaurus
MVW
Dear Sergey, I have pictures from the cockpit and contemporary pictures from the nozzle and the aircraft with world absolute speed record titles. I need some days to sort them out and upload so I beg for some patience. Barrie Hygate's British Experimental Jet Aircraft (Argus Books 1990 ISBN 1 85486 010 0) is, IMHO, the best plan source for this aircraft (and the DH108 Swallow, too). MVW
Hello, here a picture of the mauve paint scheme with speed record titles ... my favourite for the FD2 http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k234/micros2009/Speed_Record_zpsea3a1da5.jpg Hello again, now the cockpit pics: http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k234/micros2009/Frontpanel_zps204cbb7c.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k234/micros2009/Console_Right_zps8c2044c0.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k234/micros2009/Console_Left_zpsad620e4c.jpg Regards, Martin
MVW
Hello again, here a the dimensions of the aircraft from an official Fairey leaflet (just rearranged by me for clarity)... ècartement de voie means wheel track. By the way, the ejection seat is Martin Baker Mk. 3 (modified). http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k234/micros2009/Dimensions_zps19639f2d.jpg Regards, Martin Edited July 28, 2014 by MVW

MVW
Hello, enclosed a picture of the RR Avon of the Fairey Delta with the exhaust at right. The afterburner / reheat system was of the eyelid type - the eyelids are absent from the picture. More to follow... http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k234/micros2009/reheat_section_zps7b08064e.jpg Regards, Martin
Cheshiretaurus
Great pictures Martin hope you dont mind me saving them to hard disk, Have two Novo FD2s in the stash. One to be build as an FD2 and the other as a BAC221, Hopefully might be done by mid 21st century going off my present rate of completing builds! MVW
Hello, If I can help I do and what I share is free to all. Here are my final inputs: A sketch showing the eyelid afterburner more clearly ... taken fron the book "Rolls Royce the Jet Engine", 4th Edition 1986 Page 171 http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k234/micros2009/RR_Eyelid_nozzle_zps449ec8fb.jpg Further some pics showing the exhaust, one from the BAC221. I suspect there is one more ring around the exhaust and the two eyelids are each in two (outer / inner) parts - maybe anyone can clarify this. Then one showing the airbrakes. http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k234/micros2009/exhaust_zps7dd69d66.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k234/micros2009/exhaust_2_zpsda3e5c4c.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k234/micros2009/airbrakes_zps32753fe3.jpg And finally a picture of the inlet: http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k234/micros2009/Inlet_zps0a076911.jpg Regards, Martin

Miggers
My pleasure boys. I have a Novo FD.2 built in another galaxy far,far away done as WG777 in the blue paint job as she is today in Cosford. She's still in pretty good condition, just a couple of u/c doors missing, but ripe for a re-furb and new decals. I also have the Whirlykits BAC.221 vacform. It's all cutout(has been for a few years) and sanded, but is waiting for a solution for intake trunking. Quite a good basic kit with good decals. Seems to be OOP now,so you-know-where is your friend: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Whirlykits-1-72-BAC-221-/291216227889?pt=UK_ToysGames_ModelKits_ModelKits_JN&hash=item43cdd6fe31 Edited August 13, 2014 by Miggers
