DUKW (Italeri 1:72)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've decided to have a go at my first group build.

Not sure how much time I'm going have over the new few months so I'm keeping it small and simple with the above kit. May opt for some extras if time permits but my entry is primarily just to be part of the fun :)

Kit is in the post so pictures to follow.

Cheers

Good idea to keep it manageble as feeling pressured through lack of time can spoil things and of course if you finish the DUKW quickly there may be time to squeeze another build in. Anyway i hope you get lots of fun out of it

Looking forward to seeing the progress on this. I shall be interested to see your etch from Eduard when it arrives. I'm fairly new to the idea of using additional stuff like PE - always just built the plastic in the box up until now - although I suppose it's cheating because my Eduard Spitfire comes with the extras in the box as well!

Munching!

Are you replacing the wheels?

How are you doing for references? :hmmm:

Hi, Nope, not replacing the wheels. I read an article that states the ones in the box are as good as the resin ones. They'll also be mainly hidden from view when complete.

As for references? By the Power of Google…………….!! :hypnotised:

Have to love etched parts! The detail is amazing. Couldn't resist fitting the first few tonight ;)

Have new phone so thought I'd take a picture and see what it's like. More faffing involved that the etch!! Anyhow, here's the latest. Work getting in the way of decent building sessions :(

That is looking great! The etched stuff really adds another dimension to the kit - it is a shame it's difficult to work with at times! Keep up the good work!
