First finished model of the year and it's only half way through

Based on the Revell Hawker Hunter F.6 kit modified to represent a Swedish Air Force J34 late in their service.

Cheers chaps, this is the first finisher amongst several various Hunters I'm working on, hopefully have a few more to show in the near future.

Very nice Col :) superb. I'll do mine one day

Which decals did you use in the end on this, are they the Flying Colors ones?

Cheers

Chris

Yes that's the ones Chris. Not the easiest to use so take care, the decals are thin and fragile so benefit from a layer of Microscale decal film and very carefull application. Soaked them for a while to release the larger decals from the backing paper then float them onto a layer of wet Future to gain some time adjusting their position.

Thank you for the kind comments gang. Enjoyed working on this one and have always liked the Hunter in Swedish colours so it was good to finally make one.

Excellent stuff Col. Looks great.

I trust you'll be bringing this along to the next club meeting?

Yes I should make it along next Tuesday so will bring this one along with the other in-progress ones. You going to be there?

I should be (I hope). I'm not offshore but am in the office - in fact the offices I'm at are literally round the corner from the Gordon highlander museum which is handy :)

Mate, you did a wonderfull job on this one!!!

Swedish Hunter looks so sexy even with that green color!

As for you model, you did a great work with the changes from F6 to F4.

I think she wants one or a pair of Sidewinders for a more agressive look!

Now do an Acro Hunters bird! :goodjob:

Cheers,

George

Thanks George. Had an ancient tin from the Humbrol Authentics range for the green but discovered Hu 117 is advertised as a good match.

Left the 'winders off as I couldn't find a photo of a Swedish Hunter carrying any, Must admit the Acro Hunter was tempting so if I ever come across enough other decals I'll do the ex-Swiss FGA.58 currently being used for the display flight.
