Update: Vash the Stampede (1/6th scale)

Recently completed after a 20 year modelling hiatus.

Iwata HP-CH airbrush with Vallejo acrylics. The glasses I had to scratch build from copper wire after discovering the kit supplied ones where broken beyond repair. I have included a photo of those under construction. The coin in that photo is a 5 cent piece and is 19mm in diameter. The base is made from a random piece of MDF I had laying about in the shed that I just routered the edge of, the picture is a screen cap of the wanted poster from the anime series.

Glasses under construction. I know they aren't entirely accurate as they don't have the little kinks in the frame arms, but I can live with that.

Now that is cool, very cool. I love the effects on the coat and the glasses where a nice save too!!

Now Trigun is one of the few Animes I haven't actually seen (I have a massive DVD collection). However is his face supposed to be white?? Could just be my phone (I'm viewing this on an iPhone 3GS). I only bring it up cause the Vash's fan girls are a crazy bunch!!

I'm looking at getting a resin Belldandy (my fav anime character), but really am scared of messing it up totally.

Whilst painting this figure I was working predominately from screen caps, all of which did show that Vash has a pale almost white-ish complexion. I have only seen three random episodes of Trigun, and those I watched on youtube to get a feel for the colours used.

A friend of mine does photography as a side line so I am going to talk to him today and see if I can get him to take some better photographs. Based on my camera skill level, it would not be hard to take better photos than mine.
