matto21 Posted April 24, 2014 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Hello, Finally finished! Great kit to build although a bit overly fiddly in my opinion. Had a nightmare with the decals - first time round the large red stars crumpled up beyond repair so I resorted to spraying the stars on the fuselage sides and under the wings using homemade masks. I persevered with the other markings but the model is not correct as I didn't apply the 'teeth' to the cowling for fear of another disaster! Paint is Tamiya acrylics mixed by eye so again, apologies if they're not correct! The canopy is the kits weak point in my opinion [apart from the dodgy decals] - pretty thick and seemed to react with the Klear that I used to dip it in. However… the ailerons (they're not flaps!) should deflect in opposite directions – when one goes up, the other one goes down.
