Tango Fox
Italeri 1:72 XB-70 Valkyrie. Nightmare kit but fulfilling a childhood dream by completing one. Straight from the box. Sprayed with cheap radiator paint. Best looking aircraft ever?? Edited April 23, 2014 by Tango Fox

Tomjw
Looks good to me. Might have to get one of these beasts to tame. Good job. Tom.

Martian
Despite the well known fit issues with the kit, you have made a very fine job of her! Martin

Driver66
"Best looking aircraft ever" I think it could be, it's been in my top 5 for years ( with the Arrow and TSR-2 ) Have also made this kit, it's not the easiest but you have a rather fine example there - where does it live? Mine takes up a huge amount of space in my office.
F-32
Cracking build, I've always wanted to see the Valkyrie, I must get around to it!
Tomoshenko
Nice neat build there. Is it the "best looking aircraft ever"? I'd say it's on the shortlist, but not the best in my opinion. How are you going to display it?
JohnT
Lovely job I have read that its a difficult build and hard to make one look good so well done there The XB-70 always reminds me of the civvie airliner that got into trouble in what I think might have been the first episode of Thunderbirds. I know they don't look the same but there is a sort of similar feel to them both. Very 60,s Boys Own/ Eagle view of the future that never happened Now that's giving my age away! Tango Fox
Thanks guys. Like the Thunderbirds link! For display it will be in flight in a hypothetical steep climb pose. Probably 45degrees at least. This reduces its desk top/show table footprint a lot and shows it off to good effect, I.e. in flight. It looks like a fish out of water on the ground. AngstROM
Yeah, I can see the Thunderbirds stylee in there...awesome job you made of this monster. Oddly enough, I was watching an old Disco Wings programme about the thing on YouTube last night (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rd0mSLv7zoA). Certainly an amazing aircraft. Bordfunker
I've heard this kit is a bit of a beast to build, but you've done a stunning job on yours. Karl

JOCKNEY
That is a stunner. Nice to see in flight mode and with the wings angled down. Really nice job you have done here. Well spotted that man! I hadn't noticed that, I had a look on youtube for this aircraft and there is a film of it flying with other aircraft, it is nothing short epic in size. Perhaps the best way to describe it is that it looks like the fighters it's with are 1/144 and this is 1/48. I can't seem to post the link sorry, but won't take long to find it.
