As this is my first post on here I though I'd share some of my recent builds. After a decade of living in a 1 bed flat I now have my own house and room to build model aircraft again. I've been building models on and off since 1990 but i'm a bit rusty.

The below are all 1/72nd and are mostly oob builds to get some practice before starting any more challenging builds.

Welcome aboard,.......you`ve got a lovely collection there.

Could I please ask,......did you alter the wings on your Revell Hurricane because they look better than usual? Also....are the decals on your 213 Sqn Mustang IV originally from the Hasegawa kit,.....with the name `Peanut' on the cowling?

Cheers

Tony

Thanks for all the positive comments.

In answer to the questions:

The dayglow orange is hunbrol 209 enamel. On the gnat I sprayed it onto a white base and had a lot of trouble getting a consistent dense finish that wasn't several inches thick. For the Vampire I used Model Master fluro red underneath the humbrol orange as this gave a much easier fluro base with the humbrol adding the orange hue.

On the Airfix Mustang IV the markings are indeed leftovers from a 20 year old Hasegawa kit my Dad build a while ago. I used the Freightdog conversion on this kit as well, though I doubt I' ll bother with the node plug again as the fit was poor and its easy to scratchbulid the adaptations.

The Revell hurricane was straight from the box with no mods of any sort. I built it to test out some Mr color paints I'd bought.

The metal finishes are either Alcad polished aluminium on the natural metal airframes or Tamiyas silver leaf spray for the high speed silver aircraft.
