MPaul
Very nice. Are the wings fixed in that position or can they be lowered?
somnas
Nice clean build! Every time I see a Seafire it strikes me that I know absolutely nothing about that aircraft, need to do some reading... /Erik
AntPhillips
Very nice. Are the wings fixed in that position or can they be lowered? The kit includes 2 pairs of wings, 1 for the FR.47 and the other for the FR.46, the FR.47 wings are supplied in the folded condition, and are a little difficult to join cleanly in the non-folded position, however as the FR.46 wings didn't fold you could use those instead although you would have to scribe the break line to represent the FR.47 to be strictly accurate.Hope this helps. Lovely build too. Ant

Apart from the lack of wing fold line, which as you rightly say can be scribed, the bulges on the top of the wing are different, so would need quite some work to correct. NavDoc
Nice ! I'm not familiar with those rockets, but they look like the ones that go with my current build, of a Sea Hawk. The pics I have show them all black. Can you fill me in about them? Did they come in different colors?

NavDoc
Nice ! I'm not familiar with those rockets, but they look like the ones that go with my current build, of a Sea Hawk. The pics I have show them all black. Can you fill me in about them? Did they come in different colors? I think I found them -- are they RP-3 "60 lb rockets". ?? I only find photos of these in black or olive green. I Like the brighter silver and red on your Seafire-- Also that looks like one hot performer - I wonder how it might have compared with the US Navy's f8f Bearcat !! Justin H
Nice to see one without the stripes, a lovely job. Did you know that the kit decals are missing some important markings? The 800 NAS badges under the exhausts, the pilot and air mechanics names and a 180 under the chin cowl? Justin H

Oh yes, they're a hot performer alright: For the record though, the F/FR.46 was slighly faster due to it having the normal carb.intake and being a touch lighter than the '47 because the wings were fixed(and therefore lighter)rather than the '47's folders.
