Thinner to Paint Ratio

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Got a bottle of your paint thinner and a couple of bottles of airbrush cleaner. Loving the airbrush cleaner so far, makes the job so easy :goodjob:

I have been looking at your paint to ratio chart for Tamiya acrylics. It might be pretty obvious but I think I have over thinked it and got myself into a bit of a mental pickle so I wonder if you could help with my question.

The chart shows the paint to thinner ratio for Tamiya is 50%

Is for example 10ml of each so effectively

OR

10ml of paint to 5ml of thinner

Many thanks for you time

Hey davetwin

Yep, it's 50% thinner - 50% paint. So, 5ml paint + 5ml thinner.

In the same manner a 30% thinner ratio would be 7ml of paint + 3ml of thinner.

HTH

All the best :)
