My tamyia 1//48 spad been wanting to do one for a while, first attempt with a air brush, also first attempt using "mig" pigments , am happy with the top BUT not with the bottom went to heavy with the pigment trying to reprisent mud .

well, every beginnings with new stuff are more or less difficult, before one finds the right spot, where its enough but not too much:) So i would not worry about, the feeling for pigments ll come :) Its usualy good to begin slowly and stack up the effect - you can almost always add more, but taking it down is harder :)

Its a brilliant start and I love the dio too. I can only echo Wolwe82 's good advice about beginning slowly and stacking up the effect. Eventually you find what works for you. Its what I love about this hobby - moments of :wall: and :hmmm: followed by :yahoo:
