Spitfire Mk IX Early Version Eduard 1/48

Recommended Posts

I had finished a Spitfire Mk IX late version of the Eduard 1/48.

I liked the model and bought another. This time a earlier version to paint with the colors of North Africa.

And he is finished. I used mixtures made with Tamiya paints and decals Techmode.

I hope you enjoy.

Superb Spitfire! The finish and weathering look spot on, and those Spitypical features are there – metal coloured crowbar and drooped elevators. ;-)

One objection, though: a Spitfire isn't a "he" – she's a "she"! :-D

Impressive work.

Kind regards,

Joachim

Superb Spitfire! Superior shading, weathering and staining. She looks great in sand/middlestone/azure blue.

:goodjob::wow:

That's one great looking Spitfire, perfect finish.

I've yet to try one of the Eduard Spits, I've got a few Hasegawa's to get out the way first.

I guess that depends what what language you speak, an inanimate object can be feminine or masculine, I believe in both French and Spanish aeroplane is masculine, but to me something that beautiful is always feminine ;)

Thanks, very much. I'm building a P40 at the moment and intend it to wear this scheme... very helpful.

If I may paraphrase Steven Bungay... The Spitfire was a catwalking glamour puss...To the pilots she was always a lady and she's their girlfriend.

With those lines, being flown by young testosterone laden men, how could it be anything but.
