markjames68
Stupid question but might it be at Waddington? I would sort of expect it to be at RIAT but after being every year for the last 18 i stopped going last year and refuse to go again when their only objective these days is to charge ridiculous amounts to everyoneincluding traders for a very very poor show, Waddington last year wiped the floor with Riat at substantially less cost to all involved
Caution Wake Turbulence
"would allow two or three F-35s to fly at two British hoes"
Alpha Delta 210
Excellent! Look forward to seeing it at RIAT. My guess is that it will only fly on the trade days at Farnborough. I stopped attending a few years ago because the flying display on public days had become short with very familiar participants, rather than the interesting new types on show on the trade days. Dave A
"would allow two or three F-35s to fly at two British hoes" At present, garden implements are the most dangerous thing they're able to confront...

Mike
Shows before hoes So are RIAT and Farnbro our best guess, or have they been confirmed? I found it difficult to read that web page for some reason, whether it was the font of the layout

David J Ross
The Queen is due to name the new aircraft carrier on the 4th of July. That day being when Americans celebrate their independence; I wonder what the chances are that one could turn up at the ceremony.

FalkeEins
first - pretty sedate - public demo was a couple of weeks ago at Yuma. bentwaters81tfw
Watching that I see a VTOL F-117. I still don't see it in service.
spruecutter96
I'm still not at all sure about the F-35 as a means of waging war (still a very unfortunate part of mankind's struggle to survive.... you'd really think we'd learn, but we will always be part of the animal kingdom, I guess). Having said all that, I'm now looking forward to seeing this one at Fairford (hopefully!) Cheers. Chris.
dambuster
I think Camm and Mitchell would be turning in their graves.... It's a bit like the runt of the litter - ugly and unloved. What a waste of fuel carrying around the dead weight of the lift fan and for what gain in operational flexibility? I could undestand if it was going to be operated from an Invincible class cruiser but with a flight deck the size of HMS QE's what on earth posessed the MoD to go for this? Definitely looked twitchy in the transition phases, and what a superb IR target from the rear...... Peter
