1/48 Revell Eurofighter Twin Seat

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd already started a post. Bit along the way now. I've made the odd error and for the most part enjoyed it. I have decided for the most part that a lot of exterior photoetch isn't for me. I don't have steady enough hands to apply them (little antenna things etc) on the odd occasion I was tempted to drop kick the lot into the River Wear. However I persevered.

The plane:

currently has no seats thanks to the poor instructions which meant I ended up cutting bits I shouldn't, as they helpfully don't show the seats from the front, just angled pictures of the back and sides!

The two holes you can see are for 2mm x 1mm magnets. Only the ASRAAMS won't have them, allows me to switch things up a bit.

The plane has had two coats of pledge on the top, need to get the underside done, decal and weather!

While I wait for it to dry I'll finish off my Apache and look at making a proper start on my supacat jackal.

Well I've tried oil washing for the first time, seems to have done ok. In light of recent events, i've upped the wif to the T models being upped to strike birds to fight the pesky russkies :)

However as you can see it hasn't come away unscathed... :banghead:

I'm thinking I may need to get the metal undercarriage kit, the nose wheel is far too weak for the weight of the model.

I think the weakness has been exacerbated by me plonking the bugger down a wee bit too hard :)

Its just had a matt mist coat on top, but the wind has picked up. Might get the upper fuselage nicely dirtied up.

Taking ages Doesn't help I'm trying to do this, a jackal, read red storm rising and looking forward to starting the warrior kit and lynx.

I too have one of these in my stash, might get round to starting it sometime.

I've not looked at my instructions yet, so will keep an eye out for the dodgy pictures of the seats.

Looking good.

Matt.
