Of a military aircraft magazine from the 1990s. I used to get it when I was a boy, and it had cutaway drawings of the featured aircraft, as well as some nice fold out artwork of the aircraft as a centrefold.

I cant for the life of me remember what it was called, but used to love it, and wouldlove to try and track down some old issues for nostalgia sake.

Was it a part work type magazine? The fold out and cutaway is the sort of format they follow. I'm thinking of something like "The World aircraft Information Files" from around 97/98.

How about "Airplane",another part work same ish format as my previous guess.Sometimes these part works were released in a small area. In Weston super Mud we used to be the testers for new part works. When it went nationwide we ended up having it fortnightly until the rest of UK caught up, then it was back to weekly delivery.

Was it Warplane?

A ten volume part work published by Orbis, each part contained a feature article on a campaign or an aircraft's operational role, a detailed feature on a specific type including a fold-out artwork and cutaway diagram and A to Z of current types. A very interesting series that still sits on my references shelf.

Sounds very much like it.

I remember there being a stealth bomber on one issue cover (possibly the first issue)

The Tomcat issue had the aircraft flying right to left, and it was banking to starboard, may have been either a vf-14 or vf-21 bird (I may be wrong there) lol

Ring any bells?

The Tomcat in the foldout is listed as being from VF-111, by the way...

Hope that helps,

Dean

Looks like they're recycled some parts of Warplane - that's the same fold-out artwork from the Datafile on the F-14 Tomcat

Warplane. Collected them all and I can tell you they were being sold in the 80s, about 87 or 88. I only know that because I was getting them weekly from the paper shop down the road before I moved house :) also collected the whole lot pf a Take Off too later date. I got the binders for the latter but never got them for the Warplane collection, so had to improvise with a few lever arch files instead.
