Scimitar F1
Hi The title says it all - how to attach brake lines to undercarriages etc without getting glue everywhere? What do you chaps use? Will
wyverns4
Hi Will, I usually affix pipework such as this using narrow strips of masking tape or plumber's aluminium tape. Put the tape onto a hard surface, (something like a tile or glass plate) and using a new blade and a metal ruler just cut narrow stips off. It can be fiddly but patience and a good pair of tweezers will get the job done. Also if the prototypical original uses metallic clips/bindings the plumber's tape will not need to be painted. After the pipework is in place I will sometimes run a bead of varnish or future down where it joins the other surfaces to give it a bit more of a bond. I have been doing this for over twenty years now and have yet to have a tape binding become unstuck.
