Hello

For a web contest with theme: "The desert" I started 2 week ago this Revell 1/72 Ju 88A-4 Bomber.
Now I show you some passage about the construction.

This is the box art and some Eduard phoetched1_Ju84A-4Bomberboxart_zpsedaf5a88.jpg

I started with a very tedious job: the multiple metallics panels on the wings and fuselage; Fortunately, I am a fisherman and patience I do not miss.

the part of the cockpit is always more fun, even in small steps, and I really enjoy it, more that the final color and oils washings. I prepared all for subsets

The RLM 66 was brightened with a light dry brushing medium gray and a bit of silver, next time I show you the difficult task of closing the fuselage.

I also recently bought this kit, considering it was far better than the old Italeri I had in stock. Nice to see what it's going to look like. You've done a really great paint job in the cockpit.

To close and glue the fuselage was a hard step, I proceeded to areas with a lot of patience and I came to the end...

Ettore, mi piace molto il tuo Ju-88!

The Revell kit looks very well detailed and is becoming more attractive by the second...

Are you going to use the kit's decals or are you going the after market route?

Io aspeto il tuo prossimo "post" con un piacere esaggerato!

Hello everyone :bye:

Work has been progressing on the external surfaces, as you can see I glued the photoetched goniometric antenna with a drop of silver color.

Inserted resin exhausts, these are for Hasegawa kit but I've adapted its with small plasticard pieces, note the window of the engine instruments visible to the pilot.

This aircraft had the para flame, then with a thin plate for telephone cables I have built 4

Once grouted cracks I connected ammunition tapes to machine guns and finally I closed the cockpit with the canopy

Wow, that was fast, putting fuselage and wings together. Looks great for now and, as Duncan, I can't wait to see that colour scheme, it will definitely be something different....

Hi all !

Here, finally lower surfaces colors, I started from a base of RLM 78 and RLM 65 to lighten, the next step was always brighten with light gray and then white.
In the hinges and in the joints of movable surfaces I used smoke color, all colors are Gunze.......smoke Tamiya.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello everyone
I finally finished the upper camouflage , the first color is not the RLM 79, but a sand and then over sprayed with RLM 79.
The spots are instead in the classic RLM 80, all colors used are Gunze.
