I wonder if thats a NMF or painter grey? If I am not mistaken it was totally repainted in Yellow. I believe there was also a decalsheet for it somewhere. edit: No it wasn't totally Yellow and I found a link for some decals for a G version. take a look here. http://www.aviationmegastore.com/p38-lightning-over-rechlin-c4857-lf-models-lfc4857-decals/product/?shopid=LM52f1e0b17fd046407fafd6f2ef&action=prodinfo&parent_id=0&art=116164 And here are some more This is for a E version.http://www.aviationmegastore.com/lockheed-p38f5-lightning-fafusaafluftwaffe-4891-carpena-carp4891-decals/product/?shopid=LM52f1e0b17fd046407fafd6f2ef&action=prodinfo&parent_id=0&art=45550 And the same version on this sheet as well.http://www.aviationmegastore.com/p38-lightning-part-1-usaaf-luftwaffe-regia-aeronautica-sky48048-sky-models-sky48048-decals/product/?shopid=LM52f1e0b17fd046407fafd6f2ef&action=prodinfo&parent_id=0&art=47834 I have got the last sheet from Sky models and there is also a Regia Aeronautica version on it. Rabbit Leader
Mish, I've got two 1/48 Academy P-38's that I only bought down from the cupboard yesterday.. An E and a J/L. I'll probably need a group build to get at least one of these started, so you'd better sign me up as well. The P-51 group build will be my first, so hopefully all will go well for this one as well - I'm a notorious slow builder !! Cheers.. Dave.

This is a later model probably a J/L model as it has the big air intake, there's a better side view of it. Ok I just found some more info, it's an F-5E Photo Recon P-38. Attached is an actical about this aircraft....though I'm not so sure about the colour scheme though! http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/captured-p-38-lightning-479489908
Paul J
Was going to join in with the AFX P-38F, but have discovered I've sold it and have no plans to buy one specially at this time, so for now, I'll have to back out. But, here are a couple I did "earlier": Italeri/Dragon kit and Aeromaster decals. Airfix and Microscale decals.
