tonyot
Hello Folks, having only recently found this part of the website, this is my first ever Yearbook entry so please be gentle? It`s been another busy year but my output continues to slow down as my old Army injuries catch up with me and I cannot spend as much time modelling as I`d like. Here are some of my favourites from the past 12 months; 1/32nd Hobbycraft Sea Fury in 805 NAS, RAN markings Revell Halifax with Freightdog resin upgrade Another Revell- This time the 1/48th scale Ventura done as a RCAF GR.Mk.V And,....a RNZAF Ventura with resin and scratch built updates Yet another Revell Ventura,....built as a RAAF GR.Mk.V serving in the Med during 1944. Hopefully it will be in the next issue of SAMI or MAM? Here is the updated cockpit fitted to all three models, most upgrades such as the wireless position are scratch built. Mustangs; 1/32nd scale Trumpeter Mustang Mk.III. 1/32nd Hobbycraft A-36 Invader- RAF 1/48thMk.IV with Freightdog decals 1/72nd Mk.III, Revell Airfix 1/72nd scale Mustang Mk.IV`s Kittyhawks; 1/72nd scale Kittyhawk II & III MPM & Sword RAF & RAAF Hudson`s, 1/72nd scale Italeri; 1/72nd High Planes Boston Mk.III RAAF 1/72nd MPM Wirraway Hurricane & Sea Hurricane`s; Italeri 1/48th scale kit Sea Hurricane`s; Italeri Hurri Mk.I & Sea Hurri Mk.I & IIc Airfix 1/72nd scale Mk.IIc as a PR.IIc. 1/48th Hasegawa Hurricane conv into Malta based PR.Mk.I Revell 1/72nd scale Sea Hurri Mk.IIc Hasegawa 1/72nd Hurricane Mk.IIb & IIc Spitfire`s; Airfix new tool 1/72nd scale F.22 and PR.19. Airfix 1/48th Spitfire PR.19. Airfix 1/48th scale Spitfire PR.19 conv to Mk.XIV Special Hobby 1/72nd Fulmar Airfix 1/72nd scale Swordfish floatplane Sea Gladiator`s- Sword and Heller conv 1/48th scale Tamiya Buffalo in RAF & Fleet Air Arm markings. Airfix 1/72nd scale Hawk 81 AVG 1/72nd scale Tamiya Spitfire Mk.Vb, 249 Sqn, Malta 1/72nd Academy Tempest Mk.V Hasegawa 1/72nd scale Avenger Mk.III Hellcat`s; All Eduard 1/72nd scale apart from folded wing Dragon kit. 1/72nd MPM Vengeance TT.1- Fleet Air Arm 1/72nd Spitfire`s in HF scheme Wessex; Wessex HU.5 in 84 Sqn RAF markings from Cyprus Wessex HU.5 Royal Navy Wessex HAS.1 conv Royal Navy an old Lincoln conversion revamped Airfix 1/72nd scale DH Vampire T.22 1/48th scale Alleycat Vampire FB.5 Airfix Valiant`s x 2, bomber and tanker; Airfix Harrier GR.1 & GR.3- 1/72nd scale Airfix 1/48th Fury SAAF Sword 1/72nd Hurricane Mk.I SAAF Airfix 1/72nd scale Hurricane Mk.I- I know that the fuselage mounted pitot is in the wrong place,....but this was a test shot and it was built strictly by the box to show Airfix that the location hole was in the wrong place and it appears to have been relocated prior to full release of the kit,....so jobs a good un! AEC Armoured Car- 1/35th scale Rolls Royce Amoured Car- 1/35th scale Almost done; Italeri Sunderland Mk.I,.....I`m just adding the ASV antenna now,...plus; One from the Shelf of doom; The Magna 1/48th scale Sea Prince is a good kit,...but my example is just JINXED,...talk about 1 step forward 2 steps back,...perhaps it will be finished during 2014? MikeW
Don't have to be gentle at all - can be brutally honest - they are great. Especially enjoyed the white Navy Hurricane. Found myself trying to peer into the engine. Nicely done. Cheers, Mike
mick b
Phenominal output Tony and always to such a high standard with unusual and interesting schemes and choice of subject. Great stuff, keep it up and hope the injuries dont hinder future builds. Have you filled in the rivets on the Sunderland and obviously kept the panel lines, as I was going to do likewise when I get around to it?! Paul A H
Superb collection there Tony As for slowing down - I can't imagine how prolific your output was before!
Natter
As Paul said, that's a slow year? You must have a heck of a lot of storage space!

spitfire
Blimey, that's about 10 years output for me, and every one a cracker, though the Halifax is extra special for me Cheers Dennis
Duncan B
No Tony, the idea is to showcase your builds for one year...... oh, that is just one year's worth Great stuff there, I really don't know how you turn them out so well and so often. I couldn't even throw them together without paint that quickly. Duncan B
chaddy
Super collection there Tony! Apart from being amazed at your prodigious output, just where do you store it?
woody37
Hi Tony, sorry to hear about your injuries getting in the way of things, but from your output, you wouldn't notice it from here. You could represent the whole of Britmodeller with what you've built here!!!!!! Some quite stunning and lesser known schemes on some favourite aircraft

Might have to have a cull on some of the older models? Cheers Tony Edited January 9, 2014 by tonyot

I really want to build EVERY one of those aircraft, I will start with the Malta war aircraft as I'm trying to re create them at the moment, yours are so inspiring. Is that the Airfix kit? What scale and what decals did oyu use? Ben. Hiya Ben, Glad you like the Spit ,.....yes it is the 1/72nd scale Airfix kit. I built if from a test shot for Airfix magazine and the decals were cobbled together from the spares box to represent a City of Manchester aircraft,.....my local unit.
