Ed Russell
During WW2 the RAAF found itself lacking in communications aircraft and impressed into service a number of civilian aircraft including four Fairchild 24's. The AZ-Legato kit and a bit of help from Red Roo Models should enable the modeller to build all four of them. They don't take up much space and look rather cute to my eye. I'll do something different next but return to Fairchilds in 2014 (Edit - or perhaps later.......haha ) and do another one - maybe a radial next time. Thanks for looking - comments welcome. x

I have the plugins and see them fine, nice work Ed

Ed Russell
These links give various work-arounds for Botophucket. it's working for me and others at the moment. They possibly (yea indeed probably) don't work for phones. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235025955-photobucket-fix/&hotlinkfix=1524549839011 http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235031332-viewing-blocked-photobucket-pictures/&hotlinkfix=1524549841443 http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235037106-photobucket-picture-wipe-out-work-around-found-it-seems/&/topic/235037106-photobucket-picture-genocide-work-around-found-it-seems/=&hotlinkfix=1524549844291 There is a sort of implied promise that we will come up with some help to make Fairchilds easier - I haven't forgotten.......... all I need is time! We have a box of kits and a box of resin to remind me.

JWM
Thank you Ed for new upload of photos Very nice Argus. I have two in stash: Pavla (which has tail flaws as I heard) and Legato (AZ) which is suppoused to be flaws-free. How was build? I am searching for a Thai WWII scheme, do you know any by chance? Ed Russell
Fairchilds in Thailand seem to have been in the ubiquitous aluminium dope scheme - most SEAC ones were and this is maybe where the Thai ones came from? https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/8006615 There is a build thread - I'll find it and upload the pictures again. @JWM

Ed Russell
@JWMI have re-loaded the pictures on the build thread - apart from the mince pies (all eaten) and the Lancaster (shame). https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234949653-fairchild-f24-in-australian-service-finished/ Having seen how much effort this took I applaud those who have reloaded all their Botophucketed pictures.
