Trumpeter 1:32 A-1D Skyraider

Finally managed to finish this one, with a few stumbles toward the end. I tried out a host of new techniques and materials on this thing and am pretty happy with the result. Another thing I'm fairly happy with is I can now get rid of the ginormous box cluttering up the apartment.

The only addition was a set of belts, some engine detailing and some nylon thread static dischargers.

Just brilliant - love the wear and the chipping especially (very effective on that prop blade in particular!)

Nice to see the exposed guns in the wing fold.

I'm not quite sure, but definitely a long time, considering the techniques I used, using hairspray for chipping and modulating the paint fading.
