1/48 Airfix Canberra IAF Target Tug

Recommended Posts

Here is my first post. I made loads of little mistakes but then again that's modelling. The Decals are Model Alliance and the cockpit has Eduard coloured photo etch. There are almost no reference photos of this aircraft on the web so its really a shot in the dark. Now for the 15 hour bus journey from southern Ireland to Telford !

I've always been amazed by the Canberra with the cockpit pushed over to the side. It makes it look weird somehow.

It's a great built, only problem I have is that it looks as if the ailerons are moved in the same direction. Shouldn't one be in the up and the other in the down position?

I'm not a Canberra fan, but that is definitely a striking model and certainly grabs the attention. Hope your trip to SMW is enjoyable, bus trip included.

I'm always puzzled by this observation "Up or Down". If an aircraft is parked and all the systems turned off including the hydraulics I assume everything drops or is that not the case. If so (not the case) what keeps one up and the other down?

Assuming Hydraulic cylinders are involve and not screws.
