Ratch
The only images of real ones I could find with the lion on a bike totem were in MT black and rather dirty
Rodders154
As you may know the white on the sides was from the water softener used by BR. Yes they did get this dirty and they were not looked after at all well. That said www.5542.co.uk is a small Prarie which has been restored and is in immaculate condition. Currently on the Gloucester warwick railway at Toddington. The numbers on the side are in the wrong position but if I recall that is the fault of the instructions too .late now to do anything about it. I think you have got the weathering spot on well done. I collect Hornby steam locos and I will see if I have any 61XX brass plates you can have, I will have look this week. Rodders
AndyC
5542 is in very fine fettle - she was in for boiler repairs on the South Devon Railway over the winter and she performed beautifully in March this year on her running in turns in immaculate GWR Green and shirt-button logo
heloman1
Nice weathering but somehow, I think you should have looked at replacing the hand rails with wire and stantion parts. They are all readilly available, so I think you missed an opportunity to make your loco look a lot better. Sorry. Colin

I shall have to add them after Telford as this was an OOB build for the '63 section of the AMSIG table
