JOCKNEY
I came across a rather forlorn Airfix Anson whilst looking for something else this week, missing its decals. I believe these were used by Coastal Command, has anyone seen painting guides for these aircraft in their travels, or even built one ? I was going to make up decals from the spares box but if it possible to find proper ones then that would be obviously better. cheers Pat

As for decals, a quick search of Hannants came up with this and this.
modelling minion
As SAR and ASW helo's are allowed in this GB I might well join in as I have quite a few in the stash to choose from. Not 100% which one to go with yet but I'm leaning towards a Marineflieger Sea King in the early dark grey and dayglo scheme.

Romeo Alpha Yankee
The Coastal Command side is @Rob Stuart's specialty, but as I understand it any aircraft operated by a Coastal Command unit is eligible for this GB. It is obviously must have the markings of said unit.

If it was operated by Coastal Command, then yes, it's in - @Rafwaffe, your PR Spit sounds fine umm, I'm sure there are a lot of people here who know much more than I do about Coastal Command - I just like their mid- to late-war camoflage schemes, and fancied bulding something with white or sky fuselage sides ... so, I have a Hudson in something like a temperate land scheme lined up

PhoenixII
Hi all, if anyone's interested, I'll post a list of RAF Coastal Command (flying) equipment 1936 - 1969 later today, along with units that came under CC and seconded RAF, FAA, USN and USAAF units. Also, as the GB won't finish until 2019, yer ALL on notice! Anyone who comes to Telford November 2019, should you wish to, with a CC aircraft, they will all have a place to live for the weekend, on the RAF Coastal Command SIG table. PhoenixII
Right Ladies and Gents, as promised the list, I trust your ready for it?!!!! This is the (NOT) exhaustive list covering World War II. Squadrons and bases of Coastal Command during W.W.II Handy reference for those wanting, at a glance, to identify a CC squadron and to know what aircraft were operated by that squadron up to the end of WWII. The aircraft types are listed chronologically. Squadrons moved from station to station and these are also listed chronologically, although stations are not repeated when squadrons moved then returned. Some squadrons were made up of non-British crews and are noted where known. PhoenixII
Robert, yourself and everyone else on here is very welcome............ Just remember, that's just '39 - '45, there's another 27 years worth, 3 before and 24 after! Couple of small points I'll make, 1. RAF only had a dozen PBY5A 's, and I believe they were all based in Canada, so anyone building a Catalina.......beware! 2. Good call extending the GB to include maritime patrol, last large aircraft in service with Coastal Command was the Shackleton, Nimrod was still in it's testing phase, never officially 'on strength' with Coastal, in service with Strike Command.
