Takamota
Lossie Posse went on tour again this time by way of train and bus for 6 of us to East fortune where we met up with two more plus family. Had a fantastic day full of cracking banter and the typical East Fortune rain whilst flying was on was not able to dent the high spirits. Thanks all for a fantastic day out! Show started withthe act which usually closes but no complaints as the sun was out at this point with vapour in the air! Breitling Team performed and, yet again, didn't fail to impress Black Hunter was a complete pain to photograph because by this time the weather had rolled in. Managed a couple though. Thought the L-4 Grasshopper was a cracking little display. Really showed off how agile and versatile the type could be for spotting. The next act up caused different emotions for me. Beautiful aircraft, beautiful sounf of the Merlin but, for me, so wrong together? Mustang was not the advertised "Ferocious Frankie" but was an equaly nice airframe in "Janie" Good display, lovely noise but oh so far away and difficult to photograph! Another victim of the weather as far as photography goes for me. Really struggled with the Tucano in the poor light. She also was a little too far away for me in the conditions. A sedate performance from an aging old lady but such a welcome sight to see her up north again. Those guys must have been frozen! The skies blackened further as the SWIP team arrived but this made for cracking light against dark, Lifting off to the sound of the "Doors" "This is the end" was the stunning Huey. Great sound, great music. Yet another i struggled with light wise was the Bucker Jungmann but, again, i managed to snap her. Loved Neil McCarthy's display in the newly repainted Jet Provost. Paint job looks stunning! Have to say i was well impressed with how tightly the Trig team flew their display in their Pitts Special pair. Next the venerable Sea Fury. Jesus! she sounds great!!! And what a bonus as she flew formation with "Miss Demeanour" Said it before but have to say it again, what a great day out. Great company, great banter and planes thrown in for good measure. Roll on the next Lossie Posse outing! Thanks for looking.
