coronado
Hi everybody,Here's my last one : ART MODEL's YAK 36 "Freehand".A great kit molded in light grey with very nice recessed panel lines, some resin parts (pistachio colour !) including a seat, jet exhausts and rocket pods, a very clear canopy and a good quality decal sheet for the prototypes. The only problem encountered was the instruction sheet, very vague, showing the parts positionement at random. I found help on internet !Here is the model assembled and painted :The cockpit tub consists of a floor, a seat, a dashboard and a control column. More details were added by building walls, side consoles and rudder pedals with plastic card. The interior was painted medium grey and I used spare decals for the side consolesAnother view :Pics showing how the plane was sitting on the ground :A picture showing the air intake :Putting the kit together was not a problem at all, just some work to sand and prepare the parts before gluing :A view of the underside showing the exhausts :I had fun building this kit . ART MODEL is a new brand offering original subjects to put on our shelves...I bought 2 more !Critics and comments welcome,Pierre
John_W
Never heard of it until today. Fascinating aircraft, I love builds that make me Google. Beutiful build.
Flankerman
Excellent model of an important Soviet prototype, Pierre. The build and finish are superb ! The original at Monino has been painted in this totally fictitious colour scheme...... Ken
Col.
Wonderful work Pierre. The way you have rendered the worn metal finish is particularly impressive.
