Paramedic
Bought this one yesterday and can warmly recommend it! Great background info, pics, drawings and everything you might wanna know! Too bad all those listed paragon Design-resin bits are so hard to come by - but atleast you can see what use to be made..
SleeperService
Watched a brilliant programme on 4OD 'The Plane That Saved Britain' very well presented by a guy who made no secret of his complete love for the plane. The last few minutes are wonderful. BOT about the book does it give a complete numpty enough information to make a decent model? I'm a bit wary of a lot of in box advertorials, sorry reviews, that completely fail to mention the sort of thing that Mike and the Team point out here. and Well Done for that! and I can't afford to buy half a dozen books to give me enough information to make the single 48th model I've got planned at the moment. After the programme it's got to be that 6pdr jobbie or the Amiens(?) prison bomber or those anti-shipping planes flying rather lower than I thought possible. GordonD
I got a copy of this last week and was a little disappointed. The 'updates' consist of a few pages listing the kits released since the first edition appeared - I had hopes of seeing in-depth coverage of the big Airfix kit (which I'm currently working on) but it got scarcely a paragraph while there was a review build of an obscure vacform kit to the same scale. That said, I still found plenty of useful stuff inside and don't for a second regret buying it. I have several other titles in the series and this is up to the same standard, but in this case I feel the publishers have skimped a little in bringing it up to date. Paul J
I still have the original issue and signed by the author. Its a handy reference for the Mossie.
