There is another company that goes "wing to rotor" over Kent from a Jet Ranger, which doesn't have quite the same appeal to me. Are you able to do anything similar in Australia? Alpha Delta 210
I have tried to represent the two aircraft in plastic, but have had a problem with the Dragon Rapide, so have left it part-rigged!
Dave N
Just seen this thread after eyeballing your lovely Rapide in RFI.What a fantastic set of photos! We don't often get to see The Beauty in her natural element,at close range-and the pilot's 40's head gear/oxygen mask really made for a historic look and feel. Thanks much for posting...and a belated "happy birthday!" cheers- Dave.
Alpha Delta 210
Thanks, Dave. I'm really pleased that you liked the pictures. It was a truly wonderful experience, and I was sorely tempted to do iy all over again, when Classic Wings contacted me last week offering a £100 discount following a late cancellation! Alpha Delta 210
Thanks, Parabat. I'm pleased you like the models. Every time I look at them (not to mention the 20" x 30" framed print of MH434 in the dining room), I remember the wonderful day.
JOCKNEY
Simply Stunning photos, I took the kids down to Duxford this year and we watched both these aircraft flying circuits with the lucky passengers on board. I have to say having lunch outside in the sunshine watching and listening to a spitfire flying overhead is something that will stay with me forever. Alpha Delta 210
Thanks, Pat. I'm really pleased that you enjoyed the pictures. I am a Friend of Duxford, and visit several times a year, but I know what you mean about the sight and sound of a Spitfire at its first operational station!
