Folkbox1
Okay boys and girls some info please (been looking on the net and can't find relevent photo evidence) What would the late 1950s FAA pilot be wearing in the cockpit? I'm more interested in the colour of the flying suit and his helmet than anything else a boxed up in a 72nd scale Sea Hawk I don't think you'll see much apart from the colours. Thanks
Col.
I'd go with white for the bone-dome & a very dark blue or black flight suit based on the photos I've seen.
Folkbox1
Thanks Col. I was leaning towards a dark blue flying suit but it's been suggested that as the red arrows wear a red flying suit might not the red devils have done the same? It would make a nice change if they did Also, the kit instructions call out for insignia white for the air intakes but it has also been suggested to me that it would be more likely to be bare metal. Would this be correct?
Richard B.
Re: Eduard 1/48 Sopwith Triplane. I found the Wingnut Wings website very helpful with my triplane build. http://www.wingnutwings.com/ww/productdetail?productid=3039&cat=4 The site also includes archival photos of aircraft. Also helpful is Rosebud's collection of early aviation photographs. http://www.earlyaeroplanes.com/archive1.htm
