A big step is done now.I can use the tamiya porsche 934 inlet into the carrera body.So i can use all the tamiya parts for detailing the porsche. Thanks! heloman1
Re the rear window, I seem to remeber reading somewhere that there were two rear windows, the original and then the second one to follow the new/altered contour of the body. Something in the rules for the 'sillouette class'. Colin
capri-schorsch
Hi Colin, the silhouette class began later with the porsche 935.They got the two windows, the RSR only got one.The windows was put a bit higher than normal to allow the air flow smoother to the wing on the back. Thanks for watching!
capri-schorsch
And the work goes on today.......I have removed the bottom and now you can look inside the mold. This is the spacer for the inner mold. This helps me to save a lot of resin. When i put it into the mold,it looks like this. The spacer is secured with 4 adjust pins to keep it on the right place. Here is it in the mold and ready for the resin. There is the resin filled in and now its time to dry.Tomorrow the work continues.RegardsChristian
charley420
Wow how much rubber and resin will that beast consume?
capri-schorsch
I needed 3,5kg silicon so far.But there are no molds for the rear wing and the air scoop made yet. Thats a lot! I think that the car body needs about 500g resin.I will see. regards Christian

capri-schorsch
The silicon mold is ready now.I am quiet happy with the result.I need to use a sharp knife and clean the silicon mold at some points from the frazzles. The "inner core" is ready and need some sanding to get a smother shape.Nothing spectacular for the next days.I hope that i can make the first resin copy at the beginning of the next week.regardsChristian

capri-schorsch
Good evening!today i casted the first porsche. Here is the finished inner core ready for casting.I sanded them, used some sanding ground and after that some wax.The silicon mold was cleaned from some dust and the frazzles were cleaned. Here you can see the shape of the helping mold for the silicon.Everything put together and waiting for the resin. Now everything filled with resin. Now i must wait till everything is getting hard.More tomorrow!regardsChristian
xffw45343tg
Phew! I thought for a second that the 1st pic was your finished casting!! This is exciting stuff; With that kind of catalyst at play, I'm not surprised everything is getting hard.
capri-schorsch
Here it is.mezzo-mix-models proudly present the Porsche Carrera RSR in 1/12 scale! I am very happy with the result. The body looks very good and is lighter than the capri body. Here i got overall 505 g resin and the wall thickness is good.Only the hood onto the engine cowling at the back is massive. The first body looks a bit dirty. There is some plastilin and color remains, but they disapear with the second casting. On this pics you can see the edge that i must made because of the casting. The porsche got no plan underfloor and i need one to fill the resin into the mold.So i made a big edge into the extension that i need to make. This is the point to sand the body down.Next i have to made the mold for the rear wing and the air scoop onto the side.regardsChristian

capri-schorsch
Hi,so i deceided to do both kits. There will be a transkit for the tamiya porsche 934/935.This one is nearly ready for selling.I thought about 80€ for this transkit.Decals will be avaible from two different dealers. The last one i got for the capri was not the fastest, so i found a new one.But more from that when that is fixed. And i also will do an curbside kit with a simple chassis, dashboard, seat, and some interiour parts.I will also add a casted engine half, when it works. For this i thought about 130€.This kit will be avaible after the holidays at the beginning of the new year. Thats my plans. What do you think about it? regardsChristian
capri-schorsch
Hello, now i got my last project ready. The Porsche Carrera RSR Turbo Martini in 1/12.The body was made as a transkit for the Tamiya Porsche 934 / 935 chassis. You can use the chassis for a super-detailing job. Here are some pics of what i got for sale.more pics can be seen onto my homepage:http://mezzo-mix-models.jimdo.com/modelparts-for-sale/porsche-carrera-rsr-turbo-martini-1-12/Decals come from two different shops. The same i got for my capri project.http://www.decaldoc.de/decal---fahrzeuge---g---z/decal---porsche/911/porsche-911-rsr---martini.phpHe wants about 22€ for one set in 1/12 scale. He is not the fastest guy.Sometimes he dont replay to customers.Thats the reason i serached another decal maker.and i got a new shophttp://scalemodeller.de/Email: [email protected]I have sent him a body so he can proof his decals directly on the porsche. We try to make one decal sheet only with the sponsor logos and the stripes. The red parts in the martini stripes must be made with airbrush or spray can.I dont think that its possible to make this with a decal on the fenders. At the moment there is no price out yet.The hole transkit cost 80€ plus shipping. You can order directly here with pm or onto my webpage http://mezzo-mix-models.jimdo.com/kontakt/Paymant can be made with paypal.I will ship the porsche worldwide.Shipping in germany is 7,50€Shipping into the EU is 12,50€Shipping worldwide is 19,50€Shipping more than one is 35€ worldwide There will be an curbside kit in the beginning of next year. The curbside kit will contain a simple chassis with mounting points for the wheels and some interiour parts and a fake engine. If you got question, please ask me.Thanks!Christian

capri-schorsch
Hiho, now i got an answer from my decal maker. The decals are for the Le Mans 1974 version of the Porsche.Other livery's are possible, but have to ask directly Michael from scalemodeller.deAll the red parts must be colored because of the shape of the fenders.Price for one set is: 45€ plus shippingOrder: www.scalemodeller.de or with Mail to: [email protected]There is another decal maker in Germany, www.decaldoc.de who got decals for the Porsche. He only wants 23€ for one set.But there are two problems. His decals do not fit my Porsche correctly and he is not answering of my mails.regardsChristian
