Jessica
I've had this one sitting around half finished for much too long. Finally I took the bit in my teeth, knuckled down and finished it. It's the Welsh Models kit straight out of the bag. The fuselage is the basic standard Welsh Convair 440/540 fuselage so the door outlines don't match the decals. I found that out too late. It's something I'll have to keep in mind when I do the 1/72 kit later on.

Paul J
Nice one and good to see. I built one a couple years ago. Found that the resin wings must have shrunk as there wasa horrendous gap all around the wing root and under fuselage where the wings met. The centre line, forward and rear edges of this area had to be filled with some of the scrap plastic from the vacform sheet as the plastic was amply thick enough! I had to use filler for the upper wing roots needless to say!!
Jessica
I had the exact same problem. It wasn't exactly difficult to correct, but at the same time it was a bit of a bother to get the sandpaper into the crevices around the wing to fuselage fairing. Canuck AC
That is stunningly beautiful work. I am not a modeller but I did fly the CC-109 at 412 Sqn in Ottawa from 1982-1985. I would love to get a model of this favourite old bird of mine. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to commission someone to build a model or otherwise purchase a completed one? Thank you for help.
