A-4C Skyhawk, VA-144 USN.

Recommended Posts

It's been a while since I finished something, so I am happy that I have now put the finishing touches to my Hasegawa 1/48 A-4C Skyhawk.

Hasegawa kit, Pavla early Escapac seat and Victory decals.

Pure magic Jens, love the finish and nice restrained panel line accentuation and a good choice of weapons too. Bring to mind the four old ESCI 72nd kits sat in my stash!!!!!!!

A lovely finish on this one... it's great to see minimal panel weathering as the glossy finish on these certainly meant they stayed cleaner for longer.

A model that actually looks like a realistic scale representation of the real aircraft - how refreshing!

Super build.

A beautiful build on this A-4, Jens! I built a 1/48 Monogram A-4E and also finished it in markings of VA-144, from their 1969 Vietnam cruise aboard USS Bon Homme Richard.

Thanks for the comments.

While paiting this one it dawned on me how easy the USN/USMC gull grey and white scheme is to paint. So muck easier than my usual adversary/aggressor schemes. :hypnotised:
