Matt182
Hi all, Just seen listed on Hannants future releases, 3 new 1/16 kits from Trumpeter TU00915 - 1:16 SU-100 TU00916 - 1:16 German 15cm s.FH.18 field howitzer TU00917 - 1:16 M198 155mm Medium towed howitzer I know the SU-100 has been known about for some time but the other 2 are news to me. Anyone have any further information? The 15cm S.FH.18 sounds very interesting. Cheers Matt

Matt182
Nige, I'm not sure if I'm right but I get the feeling you may want a new tool Jeep? Seriously though, any new 1/16 kit is good news for us.
nigelr32
Hi Matt, An old tool Jeep would be fine..but.. THERE ISN'T ONE!!!!! I really wish Tamiya would do a Kubelwagen job on one, by that I mean, a superdetailed static kit and a very good RC version. They would sell Millions I'm sure!! I'm going to E-mail them now... Malcolm Shaw
Frontline miniatures did a 1/15th scale Jeep in resin with a few white metal parts, I have one on the shelf above my head, I got it in a trade, it has been started but is buildable. It also has a Bantam Trailer in the box but the chassis for this is missing, shouldn`t be too hard to scratch one though. Verlinden also did a 1/16th resin Jeep which was a little better than the Frontline kit, it did at least come with an engine.

Jockster
Didn't Tamiya do a 1/16 SU-100 back in the 80's, I'm pretty sure I built one that was remote control, snap link tracks and sprung suspension?! I know I built something along those lines back then!

BeeKay
I have seen some shots of the SU-100 and it looks very nice with full interior and I beleive a Panzer IV is also on the way. Shame they waited to do the SU-100 until I had finished my '85, but they'll nice together! A lovely pair

Radpoe Spitfire
It's lovely to see all this good stuff coming out in 1/16 scale- pity the manufacturers don't get their skates on for some british AFV's and soft skins across the board. I'd love to see Austin's, Bedford's, cheverolet's Dodges, Ford's GMC's etc to compliment the armour. Let's face it, it not like the above don't exist - if manufacturers can make kits of extinct vehicles, why can't they do vehicles that are in abundance? Rant over, the Su100 and news of a Panzer IV is still good news in my book. Regards adrian
Niallmhor4942
Nobody does a Abbot SPG in a large-scale , I asked KFS kits about making one but was told by a nice gentleman there it's all about cost and how many people would want one , a model of a Abbot in 1/24 scale sounds good to me ...ah well back to the real thing I suppose.
