Looks like a very comprehensive set by all accounts. I always thought the Revell kit needed something.

A friend of mine has this kit and I was quite surprised to see the method of construction, pre-coloured flat sheets to form around base plates, looked like card modelling to me.

Will follow your progress with much interest for sure.

Don, did you build a shelf specifically to store that kit on? It looks very snug up there :coolio::popcorn:

Steve.

Hi steve, cheers for that, unfortunately i posted that for other peoples benifit really,as i will get round to it,just not yet?still got a stack of apollo,s to finish.....erhph start.plus had a knock at the door last night, behold there was my resin fairy with four new versions of the new nasa planned launcher,so im,going to have to start them first, must not forget to buy some shares in the paint manufacturer,as bucketloads of white are going to be needed?,and he informs me he has some more planned?.happy days are here again.......ps the shelf was just some bracing for the bench, really and the saturn fit,lol

as for the saturns construction,it does look wrong when you first open it,but once assembled its extremely robust, but why this new ware kit has all the decals,is because of fettling needed in the tube assembly,i believe or it could be to ease painting not sure?,i dont imaginine, im the first to contemplate plastic drainpipe as its so versatile,im thinking along the lines of the 5or 6 inch polypipe as a starting point for a big saturn?.but thats later,if you fancy a polypipe rocket group build to trade ideas, well im up for it,lol....cheers Don...ps but once on that road, its launch towers with dowel and beading next lol...don
