1:72 Hasegawa F-15J Eagle Aggressor JASDF 2010

Recommended Posts

Well the kit finally arrived from my good friend Lloyd in Arkansas, it took 20 days to get here, I guess it was held up by all the snow we had in the UK the other week.

So no more dallying it's time to start. First the obligatory box top and sprue shots

Lloyd had snipped a few parts from the sprue and put the wing halves together but she is well within the 25% limit.

Mike Mcellaney and Lloyd King kindly told me that the intakes on this kit a a 'nose down' appearance. On the real aircraft the AoA of the intakes can be varied. As I plant to display this model stationary the intakes need to be parallel to the ground/fuselage.

In order to achieve this I position the intakes in the correct position thus leaving a small gap.

I'm gonna have to lay this one up for a bit, whilst I

1. Wait for the decals to arrive

and

2. save up ÂŁ10 to buy the Aires engine exhausts. Because the kit ones are :shit:

Just spent over an hour cleaning the parts up and trying to get them to fit, all the petals are too small
