KiwiSteve
Hey guys I managed to attend the Wings Over Wairarapa 2013 a biannual airshow hosted at Hood aerodrome in Masterton NZ. My wife, myself and our 5 month old son Kieran went to the last day on sunday and the day stared out gloomy and drizzly but really turned into a gorgeous day as the cloud lifted and the sun came out for the final NZ appearance of the only flying DH mosquito. All I can say is wow nothing beats the sound of those twin merlins as the mossie thunders down the runway with the look on the pilots face as he exited the side door said it all, he looks stoked!!From WWI biplanes and triplanes to modern RNZAF aircraft the day was really worth it and I even managed to pick up a WingNut Fokker from the Vintage Aviator as well as their 2013 WWI string bag calendar to go up in the boys room. I will not post all the picks up here but here is the link to the folder in photobucket http://s47.beta.photobucket.com/user/Dafatyam/library/WingsCresco 750 (Fletcher) Firebomber6 Jet flight displaySopwith CamelSopwith Camel the business endFokker D.VIIRNZAFs Brand new NH-90RNZN Kaman SH-2G Seasprite DH Vampire T.55DH Venom DH Vampire T.55Anson Mk.IF4U CorsairBAC Strikemaster Mk.88BAC Strikemaster Mk.88Al Deeres Spit Mk.IXAl Deeres Spit Mk.IXTwo Spitfire Mk.IXsMossie doing a ground run before take offMosquito taking offMossie taking offMossie in flightMossie in flightMossie in flightMossie taxingMossie after touch downWhere it all happens Myself and the weeman enjoying the day and it will not be Kieran's last airshow.
Rabbit Leader
Kiwi Steve, Thanks for putting up such a fine selection of photographs. You Kiwis sure know how to put on an Airshow! The photos of the Mossie are just marvellous and great inspiration to crack open a new kit of the type. Cheers.. Dave (Brisbane).
stevehnz
An even better set than the ones on KM, thanks, hell, hasn't it been a feast the last few months? I'll be sorry to see the Mosquito depart but always known it must. Now if Sir Peter would only stump up for one that would stay in New Zealand, I'd be pleased as heck. Steve.

Will Vale
Awesome pics, we were dithering about whether to go or not but ran out of energy so it's a treat to see these. I loved WoW when I went a few years ago. The RNZAF NH90 would be a good model project. Will
