Right im building the eduard/kp su25

 

 

as you can see im using the splendid set of eduard pylons for the frogfoot

 

for the inboard pylon they offer the option of a big long pylon adapter.

 

 

is it for the drop tanks or is it a launch rail for a missile?

 

 

Next question

 

are there any alternatives to the pitiful kp droptanks included with the kit?

 

 

for example did the su25 ever use those tanks used by the mig 21

The rail definitely isn't for the fuel tanks, they connected directly to the pylon:

 

 

The rail looks like the one used for the Kh-58 missile, though I've never seen a picture of an Su-25 toting a Kh-58:

 

As for the Fuel Tanks, I'm not sure where You'd get 1/48 ones. However, I think the Su-25 used the same tanks as the Su-22 did.

Hello, they seem to be for the KH-58 as  updorth already said.

cheers guys, so ill be needing those when I get around to building the two seater then.

 

I think I might end up loading it up with rocket pods and maybe some aphids on the outer pylons as I really don't want to use those nasty tanks
