Yes I will get back to this, I was a bit put off by the frame being a bit wonky - I will have another look at it later and see what I can do about it - Not the best frame I have seen from Revell, the split is in a rather poor place think - Anyway keep watching

Ah cool thanks krow113 - One question i do have is what colours did this bike, 1970?, come in? I don't like the colour on the box and was thinking more along the lines of black or dark blue. Other than that my plan is to build the bike as is really

1970 was the first year of the stator charging system , I actually had a '70 it was my first hog. I got it chopped though...

As for color there was not a lot of the factory custom paint we see now, so black or blue would do it. Cant go wrong with black on a Harley.

I pulled out my Matchbox edition of this kit, I will go over it to see if there are any glaring inaccuracy's ,but at first blush it looks good. Strip off that gaudy chrome would be my first suggestion. Most of the plated pieces were not plated on the bike.

When I do my frames I use clamps and straight edges or square tubing to keep things lined up and for reference points, the frames are the heart of the bike so if it starts out crooked it may end up looking a little off.

I also made the Matchbox issue of this kit; I used to love making these type of bike kits - I had a much bigger Police Harley but I've no idea what make it was.

Look forward to see this one when its built!

Yes lose the fairing as well. There will be work to do on the forks , and a big pile of ugly brackets left over. You will have to make a seat as well, a simple spoon shape bent to fit the frame/fender would work. Google 'decker strip down' or the like to find images.

Actually 'shovelhead ' will bring up images way cooler than the luggage wagon.
