Cheers, Andre No idea how it is in the Netherlands, but in Germany kits are disappearing fast from the mass outlets. For example, the main house of Kaufhof in Hamburg, Germany 's 2nd largest city, has delisted the traditional kits and only stocks a very limited number of sets suitable for five year olds. Same in other smaller cities, and similar with Karstadt, the second big chain of department stores. And ToysRUs. Much of what is still available are tatty boxes that are on the shelves for years. This essentially leaves the ever dwindling number of toy shops to reach the non-specialist buyer. And is a reason why kits with a strong Brit flavour like the Shack, Lancs, Halifaxes, 32nd Spit etc. have been done.
