I actually got it from someone on here with a Tamiya Mustang, I suspect it may no longer be in production. Maybe post on the wants section in the buying/selling part of the forum? It certainly looks good if you can get one at a sensible price. I'll be doing it as 'Ferocious Frankie' as I have the relevant decals.

There's definitely an opening in the market for a fillet less P-51 in 1/72.

thanks

Mike

Hello Mike

Afetr some researches I think that the Loon Models conversion is no more available ..

I totally agree with you we need a good D-5 Mustang in 1/72 scale , 2 years ago I built Ferocious Franckie using the AIRFIX Mustang and the Pavla set https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/PAVU72027

Good afternoon Petr

Thank you for the news but please can you give us some news what about the P51D-5 Mustang ?

Patrice

Dear Patrice

Yes, the P-51D-5 after our hilarious P-51B / C in our long-term plan.

Perhaps next year we issue new P-51D-5 along with Mk.IV Mustang P-51D and P-51K

We have a lot and with the current high quality of our production are very slow.

Yes quality needs more time.

Thank you for the news Peter. It is very good to see a new tool Bf-109F in production. I am looking forwards to the limited edition schemes ;) JG54?

The re-release of Breguet 14 is good news, it's an important aircraft.

I would like to ask of the MS-406; is this a re-box of the RS Models MS-406 or is this an all new tool AZ kit?

It strikes me maybe RS had saturated the market for this, but your research will tell the true story.

Please don't hold the MS 500/01/10 series off for too long-these will be something very special for many modellers, the Heller kits are very nice, but it is time for something new.

Best regards

Tony

Not RS, but reissued Azur. Just compare the AZ sprues shown at Rumourmonger with these

Good morning Petr

Thank you , I can see that you have a lot a work and I understand that you cannot fullfil all the wishes of the modellers worldwide ..

But may I suggest you to spend time on subjects that doesn' t already exist elsewhere for example there is the Airfix and Tamiya P51D Mustang , the Spit Mk VB has already been produced by Tamiya but we miss a good P36/H75 (and If I don't make a mistake your company had already begun to work on this aircraft in 2013 ...) .

Regards

Patrice

P-36 okay - surely more needed than fillet-less P-51D.

But I'm afraid to say, that Miles Master, Cessna C-78 Crane, Ki-61-1Tei, Arado 96 and L-29 Delfin were announced actually TWO years ago...

We were even shown the underbox colour profiles of the Master, Arado and Hien.

And I have thrown out the FROG Master, the Pavla Bobcat, the Bilek L-29 and the AZ Ar-96 :(

Only the Hase Hien is still awaiting her rival within my stash...

Cheers

Michael

I'd like to see more Russian types, they always seem under represented to me.

I agree completely. The new Kovozavody Prostejov 1/72 La-5FN is a good step in the right direction; I hope the promised releases of the La-5, La-5F, and La-7 will follow on schedule. If I remember correctly, the La-5 was supposed to appear during the second quarter of this year, so it could be any time now! If Petr wants further suggestions, an I-16 type 5 and possibly a type 10 would be welcome.

THrown out? Surely not!? I think however, that the L-29 will have fallen by the wayside after AMK's top notch production.

L-29 was in one of the the latest Avizo issues. I remember Uganda camouflage scheme.

Any idea when the G12 will be out?

And I would love to get 3 Bf109G joy packs and some S199s. Not sure how as the local hobby shop has zero AZ/PKM kits :/

My LHS has also decided not to stock the new KP Spitfires. One problem with returning to the famous standard subjects is that the retailer already has a number of such kits on his shelves.

Not sure where you are based in the modelling world but have you tried on-line dealers? If you are UK based then my go to dealers are Hannants and MJW Models (they have an entry here in the Dealers area and Mike posts here regularly too), both provide excellent service, carry the relevant brands and MJW often have slightly below RRP prices. If you are in Europe, CMK Kits have an excellent shop and specialise in Czech/Eastern European brands but to date I have not used them. Beyond the "old world" I'm afraid I can't really help and I appreciate that Postage and Packing plus Import Taxes can make things prohibitively expensive :weep:. Good luck sourcing these kits though, if their 109s are good as their Mk IX Spitfires, the Joypacks are a bargain!

My LHS has also decided not to stock the new KP Spitfires. One problem with returning to the famous standard subjects is that the retailer already has a number of such kits on his shelves.

Sad but true :weep: The thing with LHS (imho) is that they can't afford to stock too many "exotic" brands/kits as the passing trade won't buy them whereas serious modellers will but from what I have seen in my LHS passing trade outnumbers serious modellers by a significant number. Passing trade will buy what they know e.g. Airfix Spitfires/109s etc and pass over the same aircraft from "exotic" manufacturers due to the fear of the unknown :hypnotised:.

Just my tuppence worth on the topic, but I for one hope that AZ/KP etc keep their Spitfires/109s/Mustangs coming so they can use the funds to tool up all of the aircraft requested on this thread too, especially all of these French ones I've never heard of!!

Potez 25?

Somebody back me up here, please.....It was one of the most widely used aircraft in the world in its day.

I'm certainly with you on this.

The Hobby has lacked a Potez 25, and a Breguet 19 for too long now. They would sell very well.

Let's keep plugging away for them :)

Best regards

Tony

As far as the general UK public is concerned, yes, KP is exotic. Anything not Airfix is considered doubtful, at best. Although some may know Revell, I don't think that any of the other names famous to modellers will register an iota.

I once mentioned to a co-worker in the UK that I made plastic aircraft models; her response was, "Oh Matchbox?" I had better sense than mention she had just dated herself.

Graham is quite right.....If you mention plastic to kits to the VAST majority of the UK public they think of one thing and one thing only, Airfix.....Not Revell, Matchbox, Monogram or ESCI. Airfix without fail, every time and that is where their money goes if they 'casually' buy a kit either for themselves or for a friend or relative.

I've been making kits for forty plus years on and off and in all that time I don't recall recieving a kit as a gift that wasn't made by Airfix, unless it was from a fellow internet modeller or I chose/ordered it myself.....The first kit I bought when I got back into the hobby about fifteen years ago was from Airfix.

Sorry other manufacturers, but as far as the wider UK public is concerned, that's how it is.
