Marivox dont give any color code for the danish version, the box shows lightblue/brown ? but the few pictures I can find with google (2) shows it in lightblue/grey ?

Anyone know what colors can be used ?

Rushing on ahead Pabbi. Good to see someone has started. Can't help with the colours though I'm afraid. We're they not the same as the Swedish version?

i tried painting the box... nr.3 from left "leather brown" with a little white might do ?

lightblue.... maby rlm 76 with a little white ?

Great start Pabbi.

I haven't come across Marivox kits before. Do they specialise in Scandinavian subjects and are they any good?

Cliff

Marivox is a Swedish company who focuses on making 1/72 scale injection moulded kits of Swedish aircraft.

I find the kit very nice, not like Tamiya or those but nice :) no major problems for a novice like myself :)

i added a spacer to the exhaust both easer to fit like that and I think it was on the real thing :)

the large gun.. needed to change the "tube" to fit because of the gunner figure

Nice and quick start! Looking good so far.

About the colours...

The topside is supposed to be dark green not brown.

I think that standard RAF dark green would do just fine.

RLM 76 is ok for the underside.

This is a SAAB B17 A that is painted to represent a B17 C of the Danish air force. This one is dispayed at the Technical Museum at Helsingör Denmark.

thanks Andreas, RAF green and Luftwaffe lightblue it will be...

... i had to cut of the "cockpit legs" to fit the canopy

... instruction for the undercarriage are poor, and for me, found it difficult to assembly, would not be surprised if the were not correct :banghead:

almost ready for primer :)

Hold it! Stop right there!!!

The finlets (or whatever they are called) on the stabilizer where only used on float equipped aircraft.

The instructions are not the clearest in the business... :-)

thanks Andreas.. The finlets are gone... I thought they looked so smart :)

I wished I had that picture of the landing gear before :banghead: should have been I little more forward and the "pin" more backward, I think I can correct it :)

wow you've certainly hit the ground running, at this rate you'll be done with loads of time to spare or are you planning more than one build?

Ahh just noticed the j-22 as well :)

Beautifully done model. But I thought B-17s were supposed to be four engined and built by Boeing? ;) (I'm kidding, put the X-acto down!)

Seriously, I know what a SAAB B-17C is and this is a nicely built example. I've always liked the looks of the original bird as it looked so rugged with that big wing and landing gear, yet clean and refined at the same time.

i noticed that some of the photos looked strange, found out that the compression was to high :( turned it to 1 and it looked better, changed 3 in the gallery but the other are still in low quality...
