James G
After the Photobucket nonsense () I won't be re-posting links to old photos, but will start afresh using Google images. Hope this works.... https://photos.app.goo.gl/TtrliyRhU2z5WVLg2 https://photos.app.goo.gl/qafsDMVvDqCBEYXP2 Decals on, weathering next!
James G
I've completed the panel lines on the underside of the Flanker and pretty happy with how it looks. I now need to 'fade' the decals into the paintwork and add some oil streaking to some panels on and around the engines....slowly getting there! Will post some pics of the topside when done. https://photos.app.goo.gl/jmizvoAvpx9zP9Qs2 https://photos.app.goo.gl/goCs40kojKjrsEKK2 Cheers, James

James G
Hi All. I did a bit more on the Flanker last night. I've started doing the panel lines on the topside. I'm using a HB pencil as the panel lines vary in depth as they were done by hand. Quite pleased with how it looks so far, only the port wing and a bit of the central spine have been done so far. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Gh7O8BcGy4Ai4x0y1
James G
Getting a bit more done on the Flanker of late. All panel line shading has been completed and I have faded all the decals using oil paint. Great tip from the main man Romain Flechon - thanks! This is so easy to do, blot a little oil paint (I used a mix of titanium white and paynes grey) over the decal, then feather/blend it with a clean, dry, soft-bristled brush. 'Before' and 'after' pics below: https://photos.app.goo.gl/cZPlVpnPIPwZYwAj1 https://photos.app.goo.gl/rBbXP45MovvhGi3I3 I've also been turning my attention to the diorama. I'm scratchbuilding various bits to make a scene based on a photo from a World Air Power 1993 edition, will post that up soon along with some bits and pieces (when they look more interesting)! Below are some 'trees' which are awaiting paint. https://photos.app.goo.gl/5ovvgjvJmbTnB1j73 Cheers, James

rom1
hi James, I live in France, and no trip planned in UK for now. Maybe Telford someday? 2018? 2019? bye
James G
Getting towards the finish line now...I've added some staining to the engines. Just need a little more on the forward part of the intakes and some weathering on the dielectric panels. Last pic is the latest proposed layout for the base, any feedback on the layout would be appreciated! https://photos.app.goo.gl/ni4geysOIsvxYqZI2 https://photos.app.goo.gl/g30LLDEsR57W6L993 https://photos.app.goo.gl/hp9MsFaXm4nrLppd2
