HL-10
I love the Phantom, but I really love the Spey powered versions. This is Hasegawa's kit to which I added a resin cockpit from Aires. I used decals from Almark and Model Alliance for the Navy markings. Xtracolor enamels to pain her. As usual, no weapons were included in the kit so I got hold of some of Eduard's Sidewinders and Sparrows from their Brassin range. They are exceptional well detailed and very fine. The Sidewinder's fins are so thin they are translucent. This makes it very difficult to remove them from the pouring plug without damaging them. Here she is with a hangar mate: And here she is with a friend from over the pond: By pure co-incidence I found this picture showing the two F4s for real: Thanks for looking.

HL-10
Lovely looking build. How did you find the Aires cockpit? I keep hearing horror story's about the fit and then see lovely finished jobs Cheers... It does take a lot of fiddling to get it to fit. The floor needed so much sanding that I nearly went through it! The walls of the kit and sides of the Aires cockpit need a lot of trimming to get a reasonable fit, and there are still gaps!
