James V
Had a quiet day with a few disappointments yesterday - we did better than the guys on Cad as we had 7 Hawk T1/2 passes before these guys showed up... Note the load out on the underside!

Richard E
Good pictures, it's surprising what a difference a little bit of moisture in the air makes. Interesting point about the weapons load out: quite a few photographs of Lakenheath's Eagles that have been posted on the on-line forums recently show them carrying inert stores rather than the usual pracice bomb carrier. Alpha Delta 210
Great captures, James. As a matter of interest, could you tell me what kit you were using and your camera settings? Thanks.
Shaun
Interesting point about the weapons load out: quite a few photographs of Lakenheath's Eagles that have been posted on the on-line forums recently show them carrying inert stores rather than the usual pracice bomb carrier. The aircraft where heading for Aberporth range, where they dropped the bombs on target barges moored out in Cardigan bay. Shaun.
James V
All, thank you for the kind comments - we were very lucky with the F-15E's this time. They seem to ellude me for all the times I do go there and not see them - this time we were lucky. The camera settings were as follows: Canon 7D; Canon 200mm f/2.8 with canon x1.4 Convertor (giving a minimum appeture of f/4) Shot on apperture prioritry (TV) with speeds between 1/1000 sec - 1/1250 sec ISO on Auto but fixed no higher than ISO1600 Shot on Large RAW with each shot being around 25MB each! Homebee
The same one, the same day, on landing at Lakenheath (time: 16h43'). GBU-12 + a big baby under the belly... V.P. Edited September 2, 2012 by Homebee

gary1701
Superb pics James and so rare to catch them with LGBs loaded. All the time I spend at Lakenheath and I have only once caught a jet with any A/G ordnance fitted, and that was standard Mk 82 'dumb' bombs - I blurred it as well!
