Hi all,

I am on here most of the time looking at what you are all building and thought I would share my Lynx build that I have been doing for some time.I have been watching all the Airfix kits being made will start one soon I think.

The kit came from Hongkong but is very simple and has no detail at all on it so I am having to make every lump and bump on it.

Going to get about 80% of it made then get the mechanics for the inside. Going to be fitting a 4 blade head and 4 blade tail rotor system on it.

Enjoy the pictures and will up date as I go this is going to take some time !!

Justin

They both look pretty good copied all the shapes from one side and then did the other. First time I have used Plasticard and I must say it is very useable.

Green section will be the floatation bags I have the real section of plastic removed form the real Lynx XZ234.

HI Rick

In a word NO, I took a break from it as its very hard to keep it going every turn is another problem to sort out. You may have seen Im making the Airfix Lynx as it was a well timed break from the big one. This also helps spur me on too and will help later for a reference to the big one.

I went to my local model shop yesterday as I know the owner and there on show was the Revell 1/32 mk8 kit so well I had to buy that too lol.

Hi Justin, just come across your thread, Nice work so far. Any more progress on this one ?

Ps, a little tip, the grey Humbrol model filler is a lot easier to work with than that green stuff. Part number is AE 3016.

I've tried the green stuff and found it much harder to sand.

Mark :)
