Hangars 3 & 4 (there is no Hangar 2) are right beside each other and dedicated to WWII aircraft....
This B-24 is painted Indian Air Force one side, US the other.
This was pulled out of a lake 50 years after it went over the side of a dummy carrier-deck during a training mishap, pilot was ok.
Hangar 5 is the restoration hangar, not open to the public I'm afraid....
There's another hangar that is a memorial to the 390th Bombardment Group, the only aircraft inside is a beautiful B-17G.
I talked to a gentleman who volunteers there who flew this aircraft twice for the CIA in the 70's, he couldn't tell me what his missions were because he said he'd "have to take you out back and put two shots in the back of your head" lol I'm thinking Air America???
