Mark
Morning all, Well, I'm still at it and the nose has come off the Academy kit ready for the Aeroclub twin seat replacement. This will, I think, be done as the T.12 and I've got some decals and masks on order from AdAstra. My question is this: I know that the T.12 had the larger 230 gallon tanks fitted, so does that mean, by default, that it had the cut out flaps as seen on the FGA.9? Oh, another question: Does anyone know a good and accurate source of the Ident Green colour that this and the Admiral's barge Seahawk were painted in? StephenMG
XE531 was converted from an F.6 and had the full Mod 228 wings fitted along with fully braced 230 gallon wing tanks and cut out flaps. It also had a pitot on both wings which a lot of folk don't notice. The colour, I believe, was close to BS381C:225 Light Brunswick Green, although I can't find my reference for that at the moment so that will need verifying. Lovely aeroplane, shame it didn't survive.
